The show follows the Gemstone family, who are famous televangelists with a whole lot of drama going on. John Goodman plays the family patriarch, Eli Gemstone, who semi-retires and leaves his kids in charge of the family business. The show is about the intersection of religion and business, and it has a lot to say about both.

It’s a little irreverent, but it’s all good fun. If you’re a fan of Danny McBride’s other shows like Eastbound and Down or Vice Principals, you’ll love this one too.
